• Producing sketches, designs and samples for presentation to the Director & Buyers.
• Make mood boards as per design and themes that are in trend and also as instructions given by the Director.
• independently if self-employed, or liaising closely with colleagues as part of a small team
• experimenting with colour, fabric and texture
• maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and textile technology
• Following up and expediting sample production of all designs
• Travel to Surat to expedite the production and other parts of India to meet buyers for R&D
• sourcing fabrics and other materials for research and development
